Plunton House is a Victorian former gamekeeper’s house on the Borgue Peninsula in Galloway, south-west Scotland. This blog will follow the Moodie family as they try to revive this care-worn family home and breathe new life into its whinstone walls and windswept field.
I have recently found your blog and have read it with great interest as we are considering relocating to the Borgue area. I wonder how you have found the school and whether there are activities for the children nearby such as football, dancing etc. Are there many children in the village or are they scattered around the area? Ours are 4 and 6 years old.
I would be very grateful to hear your thoughts on this. Thanks, Louise
Hi Louise, thanks for getting in touch. We love the school – it’s small but thriving. Several pupils live in the village or just outside it but as you’e noticed the whole area is quite scattered. We are fairly far from the village but there are other families with kids there the same age as ours just a mile down the road so plenty of opportunity to play with friends. I have sent you an email too if you would like to discuss further.
